Finding Purpose

Do you ever ask yourself, “What is your #purpose ?” Purpose is defined as, “Forward-looking intention to accomplish aims that are both personally meaningful and inspired by a desire to make a difference”.

Many people ask themselves about their “Purpose” when they’re experiencing the #peaks in their lives as teenagers or young adults( 18-25).

However, we may not ask this question again until we hit a #valley later in life.

Research shows that #purpose is associated with psychological and physical health benefits like #hope#happiness#physicalhealth#identity and #longevity and the answers to your purpose may be drastically different during these periods of your #life.

If you are #struggling to answer the question of what is your purpose, or perhaps you aren’t thrilled with your answers, here is one exercise for you to try!

Take a moment to journal the following questions and really give yourself as much time as you can comfortably allow, there is no need to rush through this.

1. What is important to you? What do you really care about?

Why do you care about this?

2. How do you spend your time?

Why is this something you spend your time on?

3. What are you hoping to accomplish in the next week, year, decade?

4. What would you want to be different in the world?

5. What do you do that shows that this is important to you?

What are you doing to make progress toward this?

I have much more about this subject and feel free to reach out if you have any questions, i just wanted to put this out there and see what emerges for people?
